<text>
There has been several key experiences that have laid the foundation of my adult life, and career with White Knight. Because of my father's occupation in the oil buisiness my family moved frequently throughout the southern states including Lousiana, New Mexico, and Texas making stops in Houston and Midland. This adventure even included a few years in Europe. All in all I became personally familiar with most of the southwest United States, fell in love with the people that make it what it is, and saw my fair share of bugs. I held two jobs in high school, the first a life guard before they asked me to step in as the Country Club Pool manager, overseeing a team of life guards, pool operations, and activity supervision. The second was for the City of Hobbs as an Activity Leader for their Summer Recess Program. After one summer in that position the Parks and Rec Dept of the City asked me to return as the Assistant Program Supervisor where I worked closely with the head of department to supervise the two sites of the program of four site leaders, 20 activity supervisors, and over 300 elementary- aged children.
These experiences helped build leadership experience, and a professional and driven work ethic which was then continued and expounded upon during my two year mission to East Africa in Uganda and Ethiopia. This experience was fundamental to who I have become and the habits and desires of organized efforts of building upon each other and ourselves. These attributes of work, leadership, and service, coupled with experience with all kinds of folks led unavoidably to my finding a venue to put it all into practice with White Knight. I am currently studying Cultural Geography and Arabic with a minor in African Studies at BYU and look forward to being married in the winter and continuing my studies at a graduate level in Texas in International Relations.
